LET’S FIND OUT OUR CHURCH FAMILY

The Sts. Constantine and Helen Faith and Heritage Center was a long time vision and goal of many dedicated parishioners of Sts. Constantine and Helen Romanian Orthodox Cathedral of Chicago.

With the blessing of His Eminence Archbishop Nicolae, the search began in 2013 to find a property, which would become the home for Sts. Constantine and Helen Cathedral and also Romanian Orthodox Archdiocese in the Americas ministries.

After a long search, members of the Sts. Constantine and Helen Cathedral Board discovered a beautiful 35 – acre property located in the town of Allegan, Michigan, nestled between South Haven and Kalamazoo.

LOCATION

Ss. Constantine and Helen Cathedral Faith and Heritage Center

at 4160 102nd Ave., Allegan, MI 49010.

ACHIVEMENTS

Since the original purchase in 2014, much effort has been placed into remodeling this property, which had been so longed for.

In October of 2014, work began for the first phase of remodeling the existing building, which included a 7 room main lodge featuring communal style accommodations and two cottages near the pond.

With the completion of this phase of remodeling, the total capacity of the facility increased to over 58 (fifty eight) individuals.

FUTURE PLANS

Plans for the second phase of construction, includes the remodeling of the Byzantine style Church that will undoubtedly become the heart of our facility.

We are currently planning to extend the capacity of the Sts. Constantine and Helen Faith and Heritage Center from 58 (fifty eight) individuals to 100 (one hundred) individuals by building two more cottages. We are also working on building a traditional Romanian wooden made dome to the existing church.
